Yes, there is… there are actually 3 alternative solutions (option 3 is the most versatile in my opinion) : The only option I could come up with is to keep an old USB-keyboard connected to my Mac mini and just use it for loggin in only… but that’s not a very tempting solution…

The only problem is : when I start up (or restart) my Mac, the keyboard isn’t recognized so I can’t type my password to unlock my Mac… With it’s backlit keys, it’s programmable crown-dial, it’s USB-C charging, it’s multiple device-switching and it’s very responsive keyboard keys, it’s a joy to work with and a very interesting alternative for Apple’s own Extended Magic Keyboard at roughly the same price point if you shop around. I am quite desperate what else to try.I have bought this great Logitech Craft keyboard and it works perfectly. It is what Options Plus use to detect other systems ( ), so that should be a good sign. I used nettop in terminal to monitor traffic and I discovered whenever I press "Continue" in Options Plus (which initiates search for other computers) on my Windows Desktop PC, the connection on TCP443 briefly appears and then disappears. On my Macbook, the firewall is completely disabled, so there is nothing to allow. I added all seemingly relevant Options Plus components to my firewall list and allowed their inbound rules for both TCP and UTP. The wise internet people recommended adding Logi Options Plus to firewalls exceptions on Windows and making sure they're allowed to make connections.

Both devices have reinstalled Logi Options Plus and peripherals set up.

I have my MX Master 3 and MX Keys connected to desktop using an Unifying receiver while the Macbook is paired using Bluetooth as the second profile on both devices.
